Namibia: Tax Table Change

Your system was updated with a Patch on 20 September 2024 to update your software with the Namibia Tax Table Changes, effective 01 March 2024.

The Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises of Namibia delivered the 2024/2025 budget

speech on 28 February 2024. The following changes were proposed and has been enacted (Income

Tax Amendment Act, 2024):

The exempt threshold for Individuals was increased from N$50 000.00 to N$100 000.00

Effective date 1 March 2024

Please Note:

The Namibia tax setup allows for both a Normal Tax Calculation and an Average Tax Calculation. To ensure that the new tax table backdates to the start of the tax year, all employees must be linked to the Average Tax Calculation.

Use the Main Menu > Payroll > Global Activation > Payroll > Global Activation > Average/Normal Tax function to link all employees to Average Tax.
